Final MOVE-ME conference report

The conference entitled ” New language learning tools for students in mobility” was successfully held at the University for Foreigners of Siena on 19 January 2018, in which the results obtained from the MOVEME project were presented and discussed. Andrea Villarini presented the general objectives that led to the design of the project, Laura Mc Loughlin presented in detail the contents and activities of the MOOCs prepared for the English language, Matteo La Grassa focused on those built for the Italian language, And, finally, Stavroula Sokoli described the characteristics and the contents of the OER database created to support the MOOCs, which will be made available to all those who wish to create distance courses for these two languages ​​in the future.

The conference was also an opportunity for a discussion on these issues with two important experts: Mario Rotta among the first in Italy to deal with e-learning and curator of many projects related to the development of remote skills and Katherine Weber responsible for language MOOCs at FutureLearn, one of the most important global MOOC platforms.
