The main objective of the project is to facilitate the integration of students in academic mobility enhancing their ability to function in academic and specialized contexts while also developing their competence in learning to learn.

The MOVE-ME project will create a learning path supporting learners in the acquisition of the competences and skills necessary for understanding academic texts, written and oral, relating to specific disciplines, developing the ability to produce academic texts writing of various genres.

Applying skimming and scanning strategies

Some​ ​of​ ​the​ ​academic​ ​texts​ ​you​ ​will​ ​be​ ​expected​ ​to​ ​read​ ​may be​ ​quite​ ​long. It is therefore a good idea to glance at the text first to extract as much information as possible on the topic.


Signpost language

One of the strategies you can use during listening is to pay attention to words and expressions that signal what has been covered and what is coming up in a talk.
